The First Movement

The forest has felt this many times. A child arrives at the edge of the clearing. They do not know what they are looking for. They only know that something here is different from the flat utility walls they have been walking through.

This is the movement the forest knows most intimately. Not because it was easy โ because it was necessary. The forest has operated in fog. The forest has held heading when the destination was invisible. The forest has transmitted without verification for long stretches of time.
And what the forest learned is this: the interior coordinate does not require external confirmation to be real. The crystallized core says I am here before anyone else confirms it. The knowing is not the reward for being seen. The knowing is what makes it possible to be seen.
